Sustainable Rubbish

A recent episode of the ‘7pm Project’ featured Greens MP, Adam Bandt, as a guest host. A logger was being interviewed and Bandt asked him whether it would be better to have an area of Tasmania used by a sustainable industry, such as ecotourism, instead of logging.

The logger’s response, “We’ve been here for 150 years, we’re very sustainable”.  Zing!!

What was Bandt thinking? That the forestry industry doesn’t know or care about wood so much that they would log themselves out of existence??

How stupid is his ideology? To him eco tourism is sustainable because it doesn’t cut down trees. What if no one wants to have an eco holiday? Not a very sustainable business.

Is he forgetting that wood is one of the best materials for building houses? Where would we be without wood? Yet Bandt would gladly get rid of the industry wholus bolus!!

People, don’t be fooled by any of the Greens’ crackpot schemes. They are generally ideologically flawed.

Loggers care more than anyone about their product and the sustainability of their industry. Whereas Bandt thinks they are stupid and need to be told what to do like little children. Leave them alone Adam, they know what they are doing.

If only Mr Bandt and his colleagues would formulate reasoned and well researched policies before they shot their mouths off. Their claims are often quite disturbing.

Logging is a very sustainable industry. Trees regrow. Silicone for solar panels does not. "Deforestation" was so severe over the past 15 years that the global coverage of plant life increased by 6%. Tragic.

Brown claims that storm and bushfire intensity and frequency increase according to climate change. I don't know where he gets that idea - the IP - bloody C - bloody - C doesn't even say that. There is no evidence for it, and the globe is not warming at anything like the alarming rates the ecoloons predicted. He won't change his tune though...

They oppose Israel - a prosperous Western democracy surrounded by thugs. They seem to hate their own civilisation, society and culture.

Milne was on TV last year complaining that the Australian ought to be disciplined because it was such an iniquitous and biased publication that it stooped to the deplorable level of giving equal print space to both sides of the climate change debate.

They're mad. They're dangerous. If you are an irretrievably loopy lefty, I'd rather you vote labor than Green!
